Informed of the presence of several suspicious individuals, the National Police of Haiti (PNH) carried out this week an operation in "Nan Olive", a locality of Dessources, 1st section of Léogâne, which allowed the arrest of 9 individuals.

In the mobile phones seized from several of them, the police found certain clues including the name "Izo 5 segond" suggesting that these individuals could be members of the "5 seconds" Gang which kidnaps and murders innocent victims, in particular on RN#2 at Martissant.

The 9 arrested individuals were transferred to the Departmental Service of the Judicial Police within the framework of the investigations which must discover the reasons for their presence in the commune of Léogâne.

The PNH welcomes the collaboration of the population and encourages them to continue to inform the police of any suspicious presence in their neighborhoods.
