Saturday August 27, 2022, as part of an anti-kidnapping operation, several entities of the Central Directorate of Judicial Police (DCPJ), were mobilized : a Cell Against Kidnapping (CCE), supported by the Intervention Brigade and Research (BRI) and the Brigade for the Fight Against Vehicle Theft (BLVV) for the release without ransom of 3 hostages in Bon-Repos, a locality of Croix-des-Bouquets.

One of the victims was kidnapped on August 15, 2022, in Cabaret, the second on August 24 in Bon Repos and the third also on August 24 in Clercine (Comme il Faut area).

In addition, the police arrested a woman, Pierre Venisca, responsible of the surveillance of the hostages.

During this intervention, the police found and seized, among other things, a 3.80 caliber firearm; 44 3.80 mm cartridges, four cell phones, a black FBI cap, a black balaclava and several camouflage caps.
