iciHaiti - Les Anglais : Violence and vandalism against the company «Enèji Pwòp»
In a press release, the company "Enèji Pwòp" recalls that it is one of the pioneers of the supply of hybrid power (solar, diesel) 24/7 in the community of Les Anglais (South Dept.) https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-14095-haiti-technology-first-solar-powered-microgrid.html

"[...] However, due to the fuel shortage that has been raging in the south of the country for several months, the company is no longer able to supply electricity to its customers 24 hours a day as normal.

Some customers started a supposedly peaceful protest march to express their dissatisfaction, which degenerated and led to acts of physical and verbal violence against the representatives of 'Enèji Pwòp' and vandalism in the premises of the company.

'Enèji Pwòp' condemns these odious acts and has initiated the process so that those responsible are brought to justice and punished as they should be.

The company also wishes to express its great disappointment at the violent behavior of part of the population towards its employees who are working relentlessly to be able to supply the city with electricity despite the shortage of fuel."
