Sunday, September 4th, 2022, a patrol from the Delmas Intervention Brigade succeeded in thwarting a kidnapping, at rue Jean-Baptiste (Delmas 33), around 9 p.m.

They were two armed individuals, including Saint-Louis Bernadin, aged 31, in possession of a Glock 12 brand pistol, caliber 9mm, who were trying to kidnap a 39-year-old man.

The victim, who was in his Suzuki Grand Vitara vehicle, escaped safe and sound thanks to the intervention of the patrol.

In exchanges of fire with the police, Saint-Louis Bernadin, one of the kidnappers, was fatally injured. As for his accomplice, he managed to flee with the victim's car.
