iciHaiti - Training : The gender issue in the electoral environment

UN Women, in collaboration with the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP), the Ministry for the Status of Women and Women's Rights and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), organized two days of training for trainers on the theme "Election observation according to the integrated approach of the gender dimension" for about thirty representatives of civil society organizations who participated in the observation of the last elections in Haiti.
This training was carried out with the aim of facilitating their overall understanding of the issues of gender in the electoral environment in order to better understand the inequalities between women and men in politics.
This activity is part of two projects on the prevention and reduction of political and electoral violence against women in Haiti, funded by the Government of Canada and the Peacebuilding Funds and implemented by UN Women and UNDP.
