"Fanm Deside" and the Proactive Women's Group organized, with funding from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), a workshop in the Center Henriette Saint Marc, in Corail (Dept. Grand'Anse) on the manufacture of soap for the benefit of a hundred women and girls.

This workshop aims to enable participants to "Make liquid soap, market it, reclaim the space, learn a trade" the training methodology takes into account the presentation on the ingredients, a dosage phase, a step of mixing followed by individual manufacturing.

The uses of the soap resulting from these sessions are multiple: washing clothes, washing dishes, house laundry, various cleaning. Learning the trade of soap maker will give these women and girls the opportunity to have a source of income in a context of socio-political unrest.
