Accompanied by the Embassy of Spain in Haiti and a representative of the French Development Agency (AFD), the delegation of the Embassy of France in Haiti visited the project of the Hospital of the State University of Haiti (HUEH), guided by a team from the Technical Execution Unit (UTE) of the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

This important French Cooperation project in Haiti is 90% complete. It must be completed in 2023 so that Port-au-Prince has international-level public health facilities. All efforts converge to resume the work interrupted by the "Peyi lòk".

Let's recall that the work of the HUEH funded jointly by France (AFD) and the United States (USAID) to the tune of 50 million dollars, the Haitian Government to contribute for its part to the tune of 33.2 million to complete the budget of $83.2 million, executed by the Spanish firm "Teyico Elecnor", began in September 2013 and was initially supposed to last almost 3 years... But in Haiti nothing ever happens as planned... Apart from the delay in disbursement of the Haitian Government causing a series of closures of the site, the numerous socio-political unrest, insecurity and non-compliance with the contract by the Spanish firm Teyico Elecnor are some of the reasons explaining the delays of several years in the execution of the works...
