Saturday November 12 until Sunday November 13, 2022 in the early morning, in accordance with the directives of the Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Carlos Luciano Diaz Morfa, soldiers of the 10th infantry battalion of the Dominican army led by the Colonel Estenio Cubilete Cabrera conducted a major migration control operation in different neighborhoods of Dajabón (Northwest of the Dominican Republic) which resulted in the arrest of 650 Haitians in an irregular migration situation.

The Haitian detainees were transferred to the Beller de Dajabón fortress, to be handed over to the General Directorate of Migration (DGM). A part has already been repatriated to Haiti.
