The National Ambulance Center (CAN), sent us its summary statistical report, of the pre-hospital management of the various emergency cases carried out by the Center during the month of December 2022.

Of the 544 cases handled by the CAN in December 2022 (+20.88% compared to the previous month https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-38339-icihaiti-health-report-of-the-national-ambulance-center-november-2022.html ), 37% were transfers, 16% obstetric emergencies, 15% trauma.

Types of interventions:

20 suspected cholera cases;

56 cases of respiratory distress (not associated with Covid-19);

19 cases of chronic diseases (various pathologies);

89 obstetric emergencies;

18 AVP (Accidents on Public Roads);

203 transfers (references & laboratory tests);

82 traumas (injuries & fractures of varying degrees);

4 bullet wounds;

6 stab wounds;

1 burn case

46 various conditions (malaise, diarrhoea, fever, anemia, abdominal pain, etc...)

Of the 544 cases handled by the CAN: 392 interventions took place in the West, 65 in the Artibonite, 39 in the North / North-East, 16 in the South-East, 23 in the North-West, 6 in the South.
