"In accordance with the provisions of the Presidential Decree of September 17, 2014 on the reform of the operation of schools in Haiti, a single official evaluation has been instituted to sanction the studies of the fundamental school, corresponding to the 9 years of schooling of compulsory basis, and a single official assessment at the end of secondary studies, corresponding to the 4 years of schooling in the renovated secondary school.

Consequently, the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP) reminds the public, in general, and the national and international educational community, that the certificates of completion of the 3 cycle of fundamental education delivered until 2017 remain valid.

In addition, from 2018, the MENFP instituted a new format bearing the wording "diplôme de fin d'études de l'Enseignement Fondamental" (fundamental education graduation diploma).

The Ministry invites all the national and international partners, and the actors of the education system to take into account these provisions which situate and specify in time the type of official document sanctioning the final examinations of fundamental studies.é
