On March 31, 2023 in Les Cayes, UNICEF during a ceremony handed over 150 motorcycles and four vehicles to the Departmental Directorates of Education (DDE) of Grand'Anse, Nippes and South.

This donation is part of the cooperation between the Ministry of Education and UNICEF to improve access to education for children in the Great South, affected by the earthquake of 7.2 on the scale by Richter, August 14, 2021 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-34479-haiti-flash-magnitude-72-earthquake-in-the-nippes-updated-10am.html

The handover ceremony took place in the presence of the executives of the Ministry, François Kampundu Deputy Representative of UNICEF, inspectors of the DDE, beneficiaries of this donation and several personalities.

The personalities who spoke underlined the usefulness of these vehicles for the supervision of school activities, allowing inspectors to collect data in the most remote schools.
