Haiti Air Ambulance (HAA) a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides the only medical service based in Haiti, is launching an additional fully equipped helicopter to provide emergency medical care to pregnant women, new mothers and to babies.

For nearly a decade, HAA has provided accessible health care to all of Haiti's 11.5 million people.

Since pregnant women in Haiti have little or no access to prenatal care, over the years mothers and newborns have represented up to 40% of HAA patients.

Should be noted that the HAA team not only stabilizes patients en route to the hospital, but also ensures that the facility they are heading to offers the best treatment for the people they are caring for.

The HAA team even makes payment arrangements to cover the cost of treatment if the patient cannot afford it.
