Garry Assad, the Acting Head of Post of the Consulate of Haiti in French Guiana, received with great joy our 5 winners of the Léon-Gontran Damas Poetry Competition (one of the Fathers of Negritude), which was held at the University of French Guiana.

"It was an opportunity to share with them my pride, as a representative of the Haitian State and that of the entire team of the Consulate of Haiti in French Guiana for this achievement. It was important for us to tell these young academics that the Consular Post would be at their side in the pursuit of their studies and their literary projects," said Consul Assad.
