iciHaiti - 75th anniversary : The Septentrional orchestra honored 30/07/2023 10:03:03
“This year 2023 brings back the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights; in Haiti it is also the 75th anniversary since the founding of the Orchester Septentrional du Cap-Haïtien. This institution, which needs no presentation in the musical world, has rocked generations of music lovers with its music and its educational texts, protests to depict the Haitian reality; Among the subjects explored we can mention: women, children, nature, politics, friendship, love of the Fatherland and above all human rights... The Office for the Protection of the Citizen (OPC) in its fight for the respect of Rights and Freedoms has always supported all the institutions, the initiatives which militate for the promotion and the protection of Human Rights. This tribute to the Grand Orchester Septentrional du Cap-Haïtien is a mark of recognition to thank these talented musicians for their invaluable contribution to the cause of Rights and Freedoms. A plaque of honor was presented by the North departmental director of the OPC Me Duliane Dassas during the gala evening of the 75th anniversary of the Orchestra on July 27th. IH/ iciHaiti
