The North Detachment of the Tourist Police (PoliTour) accompanies tourists visiting the historic site of Bois-Caïman and the Citadelle Laferrière.

Devices have been adopted to strengthen the presence of PoliTour agents to accompany tourists during their visit to the North department, which organizes various cultural activities during the month of August.
