Saturday, September 16, 2023, agents of the Departmental Judicial Police Service of the North, carried out an operation in Conassa, a neighborhood located at the eastern entrance to the city of Cap-Haïtien.

During this operation, "Dessaline" as he is known, leader of the "Lame Kosovo" gang operating between Shadda and Conassa, was fatally injured in exchanges of fire with the Police. A 38 caliber revolver in his possession was seized.

Two of his accomplices, "Zamor Galy" and "Marcelin", known under thse names, were injured by bullets and are receiving treatment in a hospital center. While Dossous Nènè (31 years old) and Sévère Gerieus (40) have been arrested and placed in police custody.
