iciHaiti - Agriculture : High Labor Intensity Program in Marmelade (Artibonite)
After launching the planting of 80,000 coffee seedlings and 3,000 cocoa seedlings in Dondon in the Nortg department, Moise Fils Jen Pierre, the Minister of the Environment is continuing his High Intensity Labor Program (HIMO Vert) and went to Marmelade, Artibonite department.

In the presence of Agr. Joseph Emmannuel Philippe, Director General of the Ministry of the Environment, Manus Acceus, Departmental Director of Artibonite of the Ministry and community leaders, 70,000 seedlings including guava, moringa, as well as forest species such as cedar and mahogany were planted.

This activity is part of the roadmap defined by Prime Minister Conille in terms of the environment, which places particular emphasis on reforestation, sustainable land management and the creation of green jobs throughout the country. This program aims to protect ecosystems while providing socio-economic solutions to local communities.
