On Sunday, October 27, 2024, Transition Advisor Frinel Joseph left the country for Washington, where he will participate in the work of the Venice Commission, under the auspices of the Organization of American States (OAS).

This mission aims to allow an in-depth analysis of the legal and electoral situation in Haiti. Frinel Joseph will take part in (hybrid) dialogue and consultation sessions with members of the Venice Commission, as well as other key institutions and representatives, including the Steering Committee of the National Conference, the National Identification Office (ONI) and the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP).

The discussions will be held at the OAS headquarters from October 28 to 30, 2024 and will also allow for meetings with OAS member states and international partners involved in supporting Haitian democratic institutions.
