iciHaiti - Socia l: Condolences from the PNH to the Kenyan Contingent

On Thursday, September 4th, 2025, Vladimir Paraison, Acting Director General of the Haitian National Police (PNH), led a delegation expressing his condolences on the death of Corporal Kennedy Mutuku Nzuve, a Kenyan officer who died in a tragic accident on Sunday, August 31. https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-45677-haiti-flash-tragic-accident-between-2-armored-vehicles-at-least-2-dead-and-8-injured.html

The Haitian delegation included Chief of Staff Berson Soljour; Jacques Joël Orival, Central Director of the Administrative Police; Chief Inspector General Frédéric Leconte and Alain Auguste, Central Director of Administration and General Services.

The delegation was received by the Mission leadership, led by Deputy Force Commander Colonel Eldon Morgan.

Director General Paraison expressed his deep regret at the loss of Corporal Kennedy, while reaffirming the PNH's continued support for the MMSS and highlighting the strong partnership between the two institutions. He emphasized that the entire Haitian police family shared the Kennedy family's grief and prayed for God's strength and comfort during this difficult time.

Colonel Morgan thanked the PNH for this outpouring of solidarity, noting that the presence of its highest-ranking leaders was a powerful testament to camaraderie and mutual respect.

Corporal Kennedy Mutuku's body was transferred to Sedimat Hospital in the Dominican Republic on Monday, September 1st, 2025, pending repatriation to Kenya. Meanwhile, the two other Kenyan officers injured in the same road accident are continuing their treatment at the same facility, where their condition is stable and they are out of danger.
