iciHaiti - OFATMA : Health Insurance Program for UEH Students 09/11/2025 08:09:31
This initiative marks a historic turning point in the expansion of medical coverage in Haiti. For the first time, students at the State University will benefit from formal health insurance, guaranteeing them access to quality care, coverage in case of accidents, and comprehensive social support. "This partnership reflects OFATMA’s commitment to innovation in its interventions and to expanding the scope of social protection for the benefit of young people, the pillars of national development," emphasized Vikerson Garnier at the ceremony. The agreement aligns with the Government’s vision of strengthening social safety nets and promoting inclusive public health. Thanks to this program, thousands of students will now have access to medical coverage and social support, thus contributing to their well-being and academic success. This collaboration between OFATMA and UEH opens new perspectives for cooperation between public institutions and the academic world.
