iciHaiti - Economy : Opening of the country's first Food Court
The Lorquet Foundation for a New Haiti (FOLONHA) extends its warmest congratulations to the initiators of the country's first Food Court, officially inaugurated on November 13, 2025, at the Tanis Jumelle Complex, Route de Frères, in Pétion-Ville.

The Lorquet Foundation applauds this innovative initiative, which marks a significant milestone in the Haitian entrepreneurial landscape. For the first time, a business operator has introduced this commercial model in a particularly challenging socio-economic context marked by insecurity. Although modest in scale, this project sends a strong signal of a paradigm shift in local entrepreneurship, demonstrating a promising vision for the future.

This new dining space now offers consumers a wider, more diverse, and more accessible selection of food options all in one place. Five restaurants currently operate within the Food Court, much to the delight of residents of Frères, Puits-Blain, Pétion-Ville, Delmas, and surrounding areas:

• Wings World
• Nago Burger
• ET’S Grill Barbecue
• 5 Coins
• MAY’Food Restaurant

Learn more : A Food Court is a shared space where several restaurants and fast-food stands offering a variety of cuisines coexist. This open-access space allows vendors to save space and avoid the hassle of serving customers.
