iciHaiti - DINEPA : New Regional Director of OREPA-West

Engineer Théophil Ostinvil, Director General of the National Directorate for Drinking Water and Sanitation (DINEPA), presided over the installation of Engineer Karl-Eddy Thelusma as the new Regional Director of the Regional Office for Drinking Water and Sanitation (OREPA-West).

Should be noted that Thelusma has worked at DINEPA since 2012. He is very familiar with the Drinking Water and Sanitation (DWS) sector, having served successively as Monitoring Engineer on the Port-au-Prince I Project, Head of the Supervision Unit at the Port-au-Prince Metropolitan Area Technical Operations Center (CTE-RMPP), Supervision Manager on the Port-au-Prince II Project, and Coordinator of the work supervision unit for the Port-au-Prince III and Grand-Nord projects, respectively at OREPA-Ouest and OREPA Nord (between 2021 and 2025).

It should be noted that Thelusma's recent promotion within DINEPA is part of the reorganization of OREPA-West. This strategic decision aims to revitalize the sector in the Western Region around the three pillars of DINEPA's new administrative policy : good governance; Financial autonomy and the development of the water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) sector.

With Engineer Thélusma at the helm of OREPA-West, there is every reason to believe that the population of the Western Region will see its drinking water and sanitation problems improved, to a greater or lesser extent, in the short and medium term.
