Friday January 2nd, 2026, the Haitian National Police (PNH), in collaboration with the Gang Repression Force (FRG), carried out a targeted operation in the commune of Arcahaie, precisely in the locality of Bercy which aimed to restore public order and dismantle the criminal networks active in this strategic region.

During this operation, the police carried out the complete destruction of an illegal toll booth erected by bandits who used it to ransom the population and block the free movement of citizens.

Three large-caliber assault rifles were seized, including two M4s, caliber 5.56, and a Kalashnikov, caliber 7.62, and several magazines. Several criminals were fatally injured during intensive exchanges of fire with the police.

This operation marks an important step in the fight against impunity and the reconquest of territories under gang control.
