Vernet Joseph, the Minister of Agriculture, officially installed Jean-Daniel Lamy as the new Coordinator of the Study and Programming Unit (UEP). He succeeds Pascal Bien-Aimé who has held this position since 2021.

The opportunity for Minister Vernet Joseph to recall the central role of the UEP. "The UEP is the matrix of the Ministry," he affirmed, stressing that the choice of Jean-Daniel Lamy is based on strict criteria of competence, ethics, professional conduct and the best interests of the institution. With more than 12 years of experience and perfect knowledge of the unit having already worked there, the new coordinator was presented as the man for the job.

The Minister called for an exemplary mandate. "Its priority is clear, to ensure that the resources allocated to the ministry return by right to those who support the sector: our farmers."

In his speech, Jean-Daniel Lamy, after the traditional thanks, thanked the Minister for the trust placed and affirmed to welcome his new functions with "humility, sense of duty and a total commitment to the State and the agricultural sector". He also demonstrated his desire to strengthen synergy between the different departments, project coordinators and the technical and financial partners of the Ministry.
