Markets are operating at a reduced capacity while residents remain confined to their homes to protect their belongings from the floods. The Hydrometeorological Unit (UHM) maintained its warnings on Monday due to a surface trough located east of Cuba that continues to supply a mass of very humid air to Haiti. The UHM warns of a high risk of flash flooding for the North, Northeast, and Northwest departments. Civil Protection is urging residents in areas at risk of flooding, landslides, and mudslides to remain vigilant. In Pétion-ville, heavy rains severely disrupted traffic in several areas of the municipality, particularly in the Delmas 97 and Delmas 101 zones.
