iciHaiti - Social : Distribution of 33,000 hot meals every day
From the very first days of the new year, the Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES), in close coordination with its institutional and technical partners, intensified its interventions to respond immediately to the essential needs of the most vulnerable populations, particularly displaced persons in the municipalities of Delmas and Port-au-Prince.

In a context marked by precariousness and humanitarian emergency, FAES chose to act early, methodically, humanely, and responsibly, in support of human dignity and national solidarity.

From January 2nd to 5, 2026 : through the "Kore Pep" Program, the KM Hot Meal Operation was deployed at several strategic sites, with the daily preparation of 33,000 hot meals, consisting of rice with chicken or rice with pork stew, for displaced families.

Sites served in Bourdon and Delmas
• Fusion (Bourdon)
• KID (Christ-Roi / Bourdon)
• National School of the Republic of Colombia (Bourdon)
• Communication Annex 2 (Bourdon)
• Citizen Protection Office (Bourdon)
• Doctors Without Borders (Delmas)
• Ministry of Social Affairs (Delmas)
• National School of Ecuador (Delmas)
• Ministry of Public Works (Delmas)

Daily distributions ranged from 1,000 to 7,000 hot meals per site, reaching tens of thousands of beneficiaries throughout the period, in an organized, secure, and humanitarian-compliant environment.

Beyond the numbers and logistics, this operation reflects a clear commitment : to leave no family alone to face hunger and uncertainty.

Through this ongoing mobilization, FAES and its allies reaffirm their commitment to doing better and more from the beginning of 2026. This momentum is part of a sustainable vision for social assistance, focused on proximity, efficiency, and respect for dignity.
