On Monday, January 12, 2026, the Family Action Network Movement (FANM) and its partners invite you to participate in the commemoration of the 16th anniversary of the devastating 2010 earthquake in Haiti, which killed more than 250,000 people, injured thousands, and virtually destroyed Haiti's infrastructure.

The gathering will begin at 3:00 p.m. at the foot of the Toussaint Louverture statue located at 6136 N Miami Ave., Miami, FL 33127. Speeches will begin at 4:00 p.m., and a moment of silence will be observed at 4:53 p.m., the exact time of the 2010 earthquake. Participants will then leave the site at 5:00 p.m. to join a walking procession to the Little Haiti Cultural Center, located at 5925 NE 2nd Ave., Miami, FL 33137.

The earthquake affected not only Haitians living in Haiti, but also those in the diaspora, who witnessed the devastation that ravaged their country. The entire world united and joined Haitians in the diaspora to support Haiti. Let's unite to remember, reflect, and pray for a strong, just, and prosperous Nation.
