On Friday, January 16, 2026, Edson Louidor, the Ambassador of Haiti to the Kingdom of Spain, visited the Apostolic Nuncio of the Holy See in Spain, Archbishop Piero Pioppo.

Discussions focused on academic support for scholarships at Catholic universities, both for Haitian students and for Catholic universities in Haiti, as well as on continuing collaboration with Spanish humanitarian and charitable partners in support of Haiti.

Ambassador Louidor expressed his deep gratitude to the Holy See for its unwavering support of Haiti, particularly through its prayers and acts of solidarity.

This meeting reflects the shared commitment to strengthening ties of cooperation, solidarity, and hope, in service to the Haitian people and the future of its youth.
