iciHaiti - Diplomacy : Two new ambassadors in Port-au-Prince

On Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at the Villa d’Accueil, Laurent Saint-Cyr, President pro tempore and Coordinator of the Presidential Transitional Council, accompanied by Patrick Pélissier, Minister of Justice, among others, received the credentials of Ricardo García Nápoles, Ambassador of Cuba to Haiti, and Maike Friedrichsen, Ambassador of Germany.

The ceremony was marked by the reaffirmation of both countries' commitment to strengthening and deepening their cooperative relations with Haiti, in a spirit of partnership for the benefit of both peoples.

The German representative expressed her great satisfaction in undertaking this mission in Haiti and assured them of her willingness to collaborate closely with the Haitian authorities on various fronts, in order to contribute to the country's progress toward stability and development.
