iciHaiti - Quartier Morin : Seizure of weapons and ammunition at Cap Terminal S.A 2
On Friday, January 23, 2026, investigators from the Bureau for Combating Drug Trafficking (BLTS), deployed in the North, supported by the Customs Surveillance Brigade and customs officers from Quartier Morin, conducted a targeted search at Cap Terminal S.A 2 (CTSA 2) in the Quartier Morin district. Inside a shipping container from the United States, delivered by the agency Accordia Shipping, registered ASJU 9265735, they discovered and seized weapons and ammunition concealed in three cardboard boxes.

The seizure included two automatic rifles, three pistols, 17 magazines of various calibers (9mm, 5.56x45, and 7.62x39), and at least 3,400 rounds of ammunition. The weapons, of various makes, originated from the United States and Turkey.

Robins Mompremier, present at the scene to verify the merchandise and acting on behalf of the container's owner, a resident of the United States, was apprehended. The suspect stated that the boxes containing the illegal weapons and ammunition belonged to Clément Mary Junior Thélusma, who had already been arrested in late December 2025 for international firearms trafficking.

On the orders of the Government Commissioner, Eno Zéphirin, Robins Mompremier was taken to the BLTS (Brigade de Lutte contre les Smugglings – Anti-Terrorism Brigade) for questioning.
