iciHaiti - Insurance : OFATMA trains police aspiring officers of the 35th promotion
The Office of Workplace Accident, Illness, and Maternity Insurance (OFATMA) organized a training day on its mission and the rights of insured individuals for the 35th promotion of the Haitian National Police (PNH) in preparation for their graduation.

As part of efforts to strengthen support for police officers regarding social security, an OFATMA delegation, led by Ms. Cassandre Cilien, Head of the Social Insurance Department, and Jose Cherenfant, Head of the Promotion Department, conducted a training session for the 35th graduating class.

Held in the Pantheon Room at the National Police Academy (ENP), this training day allowed the police officers to better understand OFATMA's mission and the various insurance programs available to Haitian police personnel.

Particular emphasis was placed on the death benefit provided to police officers. On this occasion, Jose Cherenfant presented a detailed overview of the administrative procedures to be followed by the beneficiaries of a police officer who died in the line of duty in order to receive benefits.

The trainers also took the time to address the main concerns of the police trainees, who expressed their complete satisfaction after the discussions.

At the end of this training session, Ms. Cassandre Cilien collected the information necessary to produce the police trainees' insurance cards, enabling them to benefit from the institution's services as soon as they officially join the profession.
