On February 21, the Haitian National Police (PNH) arrested Jerry Facile, accused of being a key figure in a criminal network specializing in kidnappings for ransom in the capital for several months.

According to initial findings of the investigation, he was responsible for targeting and coordinating kidnappings for his criminal gang.

Brought before the Central Directorate of the Judicial Police (DCPJ) as part of the investigation, the suspect cooperated with investigators by revealing the identities of his accomplices.

These statements led to the arrest on February 22 at his home in Vivy Mitchell of his accomplice, Béatrice St-Fort, who, according to police sources, is an active member of the gang.

Both individuals are currently in custody and undergoing rigorous questioning by DCPJ investigators.

The Haitian National Police (PNH), true to its commitment, reiterates its determination to relentlessly pursue criminals and dismantle all kidnapping networks that disturb the peace of citizens in the metropolitan area.
