On Monday, February 23, Jacky Lumarque, President of the Chess Federation, during a courtesy visit, presented Monique André, President of the Normalization Committee of the Haitian Football Federation, with a set of chess sets to allow the Grenadiers to relax during their leisure time. Also present were Gally Amazan, Yvon Sévère, and Patrick Massénat.

Jacky Lumarque explained, "A football field doesn’t have small black and white squares, but it’s a large chessboard where each player is a pawn marking the opponent to prevent them from reaching their king, who is the goalkeeper. Every move is a calculation, every pass, every dribble to eliminate an opponent is a strategy. Just like in chess."

Monique André also took the opportunity to present the President of the Haitian Football Federation with the national team jersey and some footballs. A beautiful symbolic gesture, where the Chess Federation said "honor" and the Football Federation responded "respect" uniting in the advancement of the country and the development of its youth.

This meeting was not merely an exchange of balls, jerseys, and chess sets. It was a meeting of physical strength and mental strength. Football teaches us to play as a team. Chess teaches us to think about the future. When these two disciplines unite, it is not only the sport that grows, but also the vision, the leadership, and the future of Haiti that is built.
