iciHaiti - NOTICE : Road tax in Dajabón for Haitians starting March 2nd

The Consulate of Haiti in Dajabón informs all Haitian drivers and transporters entering the Dominican Republic through Dajabón that, according to an official communication from the Dajabón City Hall, starting Monday, March 2nd, 2026, a road tax will be levied on all vehicles entering Dominican territory from Haiti.

- Motorcycle : RD$200.00
- Three-wheeled vehicle (Trimoto) : RD$300.00
- Van and Jeep : RD$500.00
- Truck and Trailer : RD$1,000.00

The Consulate specifies that this measure is a decision of the Dajabón municipal authorities.

We recommend that all drivers ensure their personal documents and vehicle registration are up to date, always request an official receipt for any payment made, and immediately inform the Consulate of any irregularities or requests for additional fees beyond the established rates.

The Consulate will remain vigilant in enforcing this measure and will continue to support Haitian citizens in protecting their rights and interests.
