The Ministry of Justice and Public Security informs motorists, in particular, that the operation of any vehicle with outdated or non-compliant license plates, or without plates, is strictly prohibited throughout the national territory.

This decision is part of urgent measures aimed at restoring order, strengthening public safety, and neutralizing malicious individuals who use unidentifiable vehicles to commit acts of banditry and terrorize the population.

A strict and non-renewable deadline, expiring on March 6, 2026, has been set for vehicle owners to bring their vehicles into compliance.

After this deadline, law enforcement agencies have received formal instructions to :

- Proceed with the immediate arrest of any offender;

- Ensure the systematic towing and impoundment of any vehicle in violation;

- Rigorously apply the penalties stipulated by current legislation.

Zero Tolerance :

The Ministry of Justice and Public Security reminds everyone that national security is a collective responsibility and that any attempt to circumvent this measure will expose offenders to legal prosecution.
