iciHaiti - Bahamas : The Haitian Ambassador visits a Haitian church in Nassau

On Sunday, March 1st, 2026, Dern Bonhomme, Haiti’s Ambassador to the Bahamas, visited the Victory Chapel Church of the Nazarene, a Haitian church located in Nassau.

“It was a particularly enriching moment of reflection, sharing, and fellowship. I had the opportunity to speak with the parishioners, members of this vibrant community, deeply committed to its spiritual and cultural values.

This visit allowed me to renew my commitment to serving my country with dedication and to working, with responsibility and determination, in service to the Haitian community living in the Bahamas.

The Haitian diaspora is an essential pillar of Haiti’s influence abroad, and each encounter strengthens our resolve to consolidate the bonds of solidarity, understanding, and cooperation.

I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to Pastor Dr. Antoine St. Louis for his warm welcome and his remarkable commitment to serving the community. Through his spiritual leadership, his contribution to education, and his numerous community initiatives, he works with dedication in the interest of the Haitian community and actively contributes to its development in the Bahamas," the Ambassador stated.
