On Friday, March 6, 2026, the Embassy of Haiti in France had the pleasure of welcoming Grenadier Duckens Nazon, also known as "The Duck", the star forward of the national team.

This visit provided Nazon with the opportunity to thank Louino Volcy, the Haitian Ambassador to France, for his efforts with the Crisis and Support Center of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, as well as the French Embassy in Azerbaijan, to facilitate his crossing of the Iranian-Azerbaijani border, where he had been stranded following the American attack on Iran and its regional repercussions.

"The Duck" who recently finished as the top scorer in the CONCACAF (Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football) qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, met with Embassy staff to discuss the Haitian national team’s historic qualification, his tour of Paris, and his upcoming training sessions with the Grenadiers for friendly matches this March.

During this visit, Embassy staff warmly congratulated Duckens Nazon on his crucial contribution to the Haitian national team’s qualification and praised his deep commitment to his country, which he continues to promote on the international stage.
