Massacre in Jean Denis : CARDH's partial report, at least 60 victims

On the night of March 28-29, 2026 (around 2:00 a.m.), the "Grand Grif" gang of Savien, supported by allies of the "Viv Ansanm" terrorist coalition, attacked the populations of several localities in the first communal section of Petite-Rivière de l'Artibonite and executed dozens of citizens, some in their burning homes. This massacre continued until March 31.

The report from the Center for Analysis and Research in Human Rights (CARDH) presents a partial assessment of this tragedy and proposes avenues to explore in order to find lasting solutions to the security crisis facing the country.

At least 32 people were executed. Sixteen were found at the Baubouin and L'Oiseau funeral homes in the city of Saint-Marc. Ten people are missing.

These attacks left at least 30 wounded. Ten of them were found at Saint Nicolas Hospital in Saint-Marc and the others at Claire Heureuse Hospital in Marchand Dessalines…
