MCI : Equipment distributed to 9 PIDE beneficiaries 11/06/2026 10:01:03
On Tuesday, June 9, 2026, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MCI), through the Integrated Business Development Program (PIDE), held a symbolic handover of equipment and supplies to 9 PIDE-beneficiary companies at the Delmas City Hall. This initiative reflects the Ministry's commitment to strengthening the capacities of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) and supporting the development of Haiti's entrepreneurial ecosystem. The ceremony took place in the presence of James Monazard, Minister of Commerce and Industry, his Director General, Panel Paulemon, the Mayor of Delmas, Wilson Jeudy, as well as representatives from the public and private sectors and the program beneficiaries. James Monazard reaffirmed the Government's commitment to supporting micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises as drivers of growth and job creation. He also commended the support of the Ministry of Planning and the Ministry of Economy and Finance in implementing the PIDE. Following this statement, Panel Paulemon encouraged the beneficiaries to make effective use of the equipment received and reiterated the Ministry's commitment to supporting the development of the Haitian private sector. Similarly, the Mayor of Delmas praised the initiative, which he considers concrete support for entrepreneurs and local economic development. He emphasized the importance of strengthening businesses in job creation and boosting the economy. For his part, the PIDE Coordinator, Joseph Fritzlens Junior, presented the program's objectives and the process that led to the selection of beneficiaries. He reiterated that the PIDE aims to strengthen the capacities of Haitian businesses by providing them with the necessary resources to increase their productivity and improve their competitiveness. Furthermore, one of the highlights of the ceremony was the testimony of Michel Raphael, a program beneficiary, who expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MCI) for the support received and the development opportunities offered to his business.
