MJSAC : Vocational training for 5,000 young people

Pythagore Dumas, Minister of Youth, Sports, and Civic Action (MJSAC), spoke on a television station in the capital to announce his intention to develop programs with strong social impact. Among his priorities is a pilot vocational training program for 5,000 young people across the country. This program will provide them with skills in technical and manual trades such as metalwork, mechanics, welding, solar panel installation, and photography.

Spanning 6 months, this program will be implemented in partnership with technical schools throughout the country. Upon completion of their training, participants will receive a grant to purchase equipment and materials, enabling them to start small businesses.

The Minister also announced the launch of the "Vision Sport 2036" program, in collaboration with the Viva Rio organization and the Brazilian Embassy in Haiti. This program includes the recruitment of 50 young soccer players who will receive training scholarships at soccer academies in Brazil. The goal is to develop the next generation of Haitian athletes and increase Haiti's chances of qualifying for the 2030 World Cup.
