Seizure of a large quantity of expired products offered for sale in Ouanaminthe

The Northeast Departmental Directorate of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, through its control and inspection services, conducted a series of food product verification operations this week in several markets and commercial establishments in the municipality of Ouanaminthe.

These inspections aimed to ensure compliance with standards for the marketing of products intended for consumption and to protect consumer rights.

During these operations, inspectors observed a significant quantity of expired or spoiled products offered for sale.

In accordance with applicable legal provisions, these products were seized and removed from the market to prevent any risk to public health.

This action demonstrates the commitment of the Minister of Trade, James Monazard, to strengthening market surveillance, combating harmful business practices, and guaranteeing better consumer protection throughout the country.

The Northeast Departmental Directorate reaffirms its commitment to intensifying inspection operations throughout the Northeast Department and urges the public to report any business practices that could endanger consumer health or interests.
