On Wednesday, June 17, 2026, as part of the Ministry of Defense's efforts to strengthen the institutional and operational capacities of the Haitian Armed Forces (FAd'H), a first aid training program launched and organized by the FAd'H Medical Service, in partnership with Doctors Without Borders (MSF Belgium and MSF Netherlands), concluded. This program enabled 250 FAd'H soldiers to enhance their skills in areas essential to carrying out their missions.

The training focused on the prevention and management of sexual violence, psychological first aid, and basic clinical first aid techniques.

The sessions were led by specialists from Doctors Without Borders Belgium and the Netherlands, who shared their expertise and experience with the participants.

This training constitutes the first phase of a training program intended to be expanded through other similar sessions, with the aim of better preparing military personnel to intervene effectively in emergency situations, accidents, natural disasters, or humanitarian crises.
