Kenscoff NOTICE : Exceptional security measures

The Kenscoff Town Hall, deeply concerned by the deteriorating security situation and committed to preserving the lives and physical safety of its residents, informs citizens, residents, and visitors of the implementation of exceptional security and prevention measures applicable throughout the entire municipality.

To this end, Jean Massillon, the Mayor of Kenscoff, announces the following measures :

1. Motorcycle Traffic Restrictions : Motorcycle traffic is temporarily prohibited from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., except for emergencies and duly authorized services.

2. Temporary Closure of Nightclubs : Clubs, nightclubs, and similar establishments are asked to temporarily suspend their activities until further notice, due to public safety concerns.

3. Vehicle Checks : Vehicle checks and searches will be carried out by legally authorized security services, in accordance with applicable regulations.

4. Mandatory Identification : Anyone traveling outside their home is strongly urged to carry their National Identification Card (CIN) or any official document that establishes their identity.

5. Call for Calm and Vigilance : The City Hall urges all residents to strictly observe these measures, limit non-essential travel during the hours in question, and cooperate with the security authorities.

In particular, everyone is asked to :

• Not go to areas undergoing operations or designated as red zones;

• Not attempt to return prematurely to the affected areas;

• Not to resume or restart commercial, educational, or other activities in these areas until the competent authorities have confirmed that security conditions are met;

• People currently residing in the red zones are asked to temporarily leave these areas during the course of operations, for their own protection and that of their loved ones;

• Not to obstruct the movements and interventions of the security forces;

• To remain attentive to official communications from the Mayor's Office and the competent authorities;

• To report any suspicious situation to the authorities, without endangering oneself.

These measures are exceptional, preventative, and temporary. They will be reassessed based on the evolution of the security situation.

The Kenscoff Mayor's Office counts on the understanding, civic discipline, and full cooperation of everyone to contribute to the protection of the population and the restoration of a climate of security within the municipality.
