A delegation from the Cap-Haitien City Hall is currently in Benin on an official mission to sign a twinning agreement with the city of Ouidah, located 42 kilometers west of Cotonou and recognized as the world capital of Voodoo.

The six-member delegation is led by Mayor Michel St-Croix, accompanied by Deputy Mayor Edeline Jean and four municipal officials.

This mission is part of efforts to strengthen cooperation between the two municipalities. It aims to establish a lasting partnership, promote the sharing of experiences, and develop joint initiatives in areas of common interest.

"This twinning agreement should pave the way for concrete and lasting cooperation, based on the shared interests of our two cities and the needs of our populations," stated Mayor St-Croix.

The Municipal Commission expresses its gratitude to the Embassy of Haiti in Benin for its support and for the arrangements made to facilitate the smooth execution of this mission.

It also thanks the Haitian Government, through the Ministry of the Interior and Territorial Communities, for its invaluable support and contribution to the success of this mission.

Through this initiative, the Municipal Commission reaffirms its commitment to strengthening Cap-Haïtien's international standing and to exploring new opportunities for cooperation that will benefit the municipality and its residents.
