The assistance of Venezuela has arrived
Today has arrived to Port-au-Prince, the boat of emergency aid to Haiti from Venezuela, with on board, 530 tons of non-perishable food and 116 tons of heavy equipment to help remove rubble.

The TPI of Cap Haitien, increases its capacity
The Court of First Instance (TPI) of Cap-Haitien, now has several new offices equipped for judges and the Legal Assistance Office to the people "These new facilities will allow us to provide a better framework for judicial authorities," explained Me Alix Lucien, Dean of TPI. Construction on the first floor of the new office was funded by the Minustah, through its Quick Impact Projects (QIPS), to the tune of 66,000 U.S. dollars.

New Secretary General at the head of the UEH
The Rector of the State University of Haiti (UEH) in the presence of members of the executive council proceeded Wednesday to the installation of Dorlus Wilson to the position of Secretary-General who will be responsible for the coordination and management of internal and external activities of the UEH. The Rector said that Mr. Dorlus was selected from 12 candidates and had been appointed to this position because of his extensive experience to the UEH and his capabilities.

Humanitarian aid from Brazil
The Brazilian Government will send a humanitarian aid to Cuba and Haiti affected by the passage of Sandy, has informed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil. The two donations of $100,000 each, will be channeled through the International Red Cross, in charge of the Humanitarian Cooperation of emerging nature.
