Fatal Accident in Morne Tapion

Thursday, March 7, 3 Dominicans of the company "Electromega" have lost their lives in a traffic accident occurred in Morne Tapion around noon. The brakes of the truck, that transported them to the South, would have ceased to function. New sanitary block in the maternity of Torbeck

Newly built, a new sanitary block as been put into service in the maternity Torbeck. Funded by the Minustah to the tune of U.S. $ 31.000, the block of 25 m2, is composed of two sections, a first for women with three toilets and two showers, and another for men with a urinal, a toilet and a shower. A septic tank has been added to strengthen the sanitation of the hospital delivery room. An incinerator and a discharge pit of waste burned complete the project.

A woman Coordinator of RFJS

At the last General Assembly National, Manise Elie, 29, former secretary of the National Coordination of the Network Border Jeannot Success (RFJS) was elected National Coordinator of RFJS by the Human Rights Committees (KDM), members of RFJS. This is the first woman to be elected Coordinator since the inception of this organization of promotion and of defense of human rights, on 2 July 2001.
