Sunday on the occasion of Mother's Day, members of FESO women solidarity, a women's organization have distributed to the prisoners of the sub police station of Petit-Goâve, hygiene kits to says them happy feast, a gesture of solidarity and generosity. Results of the PNH (May 5-20)
According to statistics provided by the Inspector Garry Desrosiers, Deputy Spokesman of the National Police of Haiti, between 5 and 20 May 2014 nearly thirty people were arrested, for among other things : murders, kidnappings, theft, and forgery. In addition, two vehicles, three firearms, ammunition and fake passports with visas were also seized.
PHTK helps women to start their own business
On the occasion of Mother's Day the PHTK (Haiti Party Tèt Kale) helped 200 women and mothers, to launch their business.
Launch of MOFADEM in Petit-Goâve
Sunday in Petit-Goâve was launched the women's movement MOFADEM (Mouvman fanm ayisien pou demen miyo) led by the well-known activist, Aline Joseph. The ceremony was held at La Madeleine, second plain of Petit-Goâve, in the presence of many peasants from all over. According, Me Chrisland, Legal Counsel of MOFADEM, it is a socio-economic association whose headquarters is located in downtown Petit-Goâve, with the main aims: to struggle to change the lives of Haitian women; to defend their rights and inform them of their duties; to accompany them on the economic plan; teach them to manage their business. This Monday morning, the Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe made a courtesy visit to the printer Henri Deschamps in Varreux and declared "We can not talk about job creation and economic growth without a synergy between the State and the private business sector."
