In an interview with a Dominican periodical, Daniel Supplice, former Ambassador of Haiti to the Dominican Republic, which has been permanently suspended from office last Tuesday https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-14612-icihaiti-diplomacy-the-ambassador-of-haiti-in-dr-suspended.html
and replaced by Minister Counsellor, Magalie Magloire who was appointed acting chargé d'affaires declared "[...] I say thank you to the government and to the Dominican people who have received the thousands of Haitians, especially students [...]"
