The Directorate General of Migration (DGM) reported that 10,315 Haitians in an irregular migration situation were expelled or turned back to Haiti in August.

7,189 were turned back at the border when they tried to try to enter the Dominican territory illegally and 3,126 Haitians were deported after being recognized as illegal during migration control operations in recent weeks in the different provinces Dominican.
