On Thursday, the authorities responsible for border surveillance in the Bahamas and Turks and Caicos Islands, with the help of the US Coast Guard, intercepted an overloaded boat in the south-west of Inagua (Bahamas archipelago) with on board 200 Haitians migrants.

Illegal migrants have been arrested and taken back to the hands of the migration services, according to relief agencies in the Bahamas, before being repatriated to Haiti in the coming days
